Farmers Field School

At Telcar Cocoa Ltd, we are dedicated to enhancing agricultural practices and promoting sustainability within the cocoa farming community. Our Farmers' Field School approach is designed to equip farmers with the knowledge and skills needed to implement good agricultural practices and adhere to voluntary sustainability standards.

In the first year of the program, each field school conducts 20 comprehensive training sessions, ensuring that participants gain a thorough understanding of essential techniques and practices. Typically, each school consists of around 30 farmers, fostering a collaborative learning environment where knowledge is shared and experiences are exchanged.

Our training sessions are led by skilled facilitators who have undergone a rigorous training-of-trainers workshop. This ensures that the information conveyed is not only accurate but also relevant to the specific challenges faced by cocoa farmers.

By investing in the education of our farmers, we are committed to promoting sustainable farming practices that benefit both the environment and the communities we serve.

Together, we can cultivate a brighter future for cocoa farming, ensuring that it remains a viable and prosperous livelihood for generations to come.
